Section 55
Punishment for tampering with letter boxes
: If a person places fire, sparks or lights or explosives, dangerous, garbage, smelly or noxious substances, or liquid in a letter box kept from a post office to drop postal items or litters the letter box or any of the same in the letter box. If he does any work that may damage the organ or the item in it, he will be ordered to repair the damaged letter box and will be fined up to five hundred rupees.
